From a young age, Matthew van Norden has maintained a keen an eye for architecture and design. He grew up under the instruction and direction of amazing teachers from a variety of artistic backgrounds. Although he never learned to paint or draw portraits half as well as he liked, Matthew creates powerful imagery with a camera in hand.
After graduating college with a BA in film production, Matthew embarked on a 10 year career in information technology, working for Apple, the State of Maine, and various other tech organizations. While undertaking a cross country drive, Matthew reconnected with an old friend in Los Angeles and decided to stick around. A freelance videographer, photographer, and editor for several years, Matthew embraced still photography full-time as an associate photographer under Anthony Barcelo.
Matthew loves the varied architecture found throughout Los Angeles, from the palatial to the quaint. Each structure has its own unique presence and energy, and it is this essence that he captures with each composition. Matthew’s work over the past several years has contributed to over $1 billion in confirmed sales of Southern California real estate.
